Dalia Sileem-Naguib is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#97163) issued by the Board of Behavioral Sciences, State of California. Dalia has a MA in Counseling Psychology from JFK University and a BA degree in Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine. Dalia is a Certified EFT therapist and Supervisor candidate from the International Center of Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy as well as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist from JFK University. After meeting Sue Johnson at the EFT Summit in 2017 and falling in love with the model, she was very eager to share this amazing modality with clinicians in Egypt, where she is originally from. Dalia assisted in the first EFT Externship and Core Skills trainings held in Cairo in 2019. Since then, she has been supervising these clinicians weekly online. Moreover, she has been helping and supporting them as they develop their skills in applying EFT in their practice.
Dalia has over 10 years of experience working with children as a former teacher and counselor. She has also worked at multiple agencies where her case load consisted of working with couples, individuals, adolescents, and their families. In addition to managing a full-time private practice, she provides workshops and presentations around the World on different topics, such as EFT and Eating Disorders. Dalia cares deeply about empowering people to reach their potential and lead happy, joyful lives–free from emotional pain and confusion. Dalia is a Clinical Member of ICEEFT, NCCEFT (Northern California Center for EFT), EMDRIA (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association), National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA), Academy for Eating Disorders (AED), and CAMFT (California Association for Marriage and Family Therapy).
